Building on iPad

From the Gridwriter Colophon page:

I also built this site entirely on my iPad using Textastic, iSSH, and Diet Coda all while paired to a Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Case. Formatting the blog posts while transferring from Tumblr to Pelican, however, was accomplished on a MacBook Air using nvALT and Keyboard Maestro.

The site was built on his iPad. Sounds like a creation device to me.

You know what else I like about Gridwriter? It's built on Pelican, a Python based static site generator. While my migration efforts have been fraught with disaster1, if I were to start from scratch today, I would use Pelican. Mighty nice.

  1. Ok, that's an exaggeration. Out of over a thousand WordPress posts, none were successfully processed by the pelican-import process. I haven't given up yet but the prospects don't look good. ↩
