Hulu Plus on AppleTV

Apple added a Hulu Plus channel to the AppleTV. This might just make Hulu relevant to me again.

It's a nice addition to Netflix streaming but what I found really interesting is how it was made available. There was not a software update. Only a restart was necessary to show the new channel. That means Apple built in a mechanism to add (and maybe remove) channels at will. Sounds an awful lot like a cable box to me.

I also really liked the press release...(cue tumbleweed)...that didn't happen. Hulu was such a minor addition to Apple's hobby box that they didn't even want to waste an email on it.
