YouTube Viewer Counts Link

There’s an interesting article on The Atlantic about how viewer counts are measured on YouTube. I like this quote from Ted Hamilton at YouTube (emphasis mine):

We think of views as a currency and therefore we have to make a significant effort to eliminate counterfeit views, if you will.

No shit. I guess that explains all of the ads. So yes, viewers are the product.
