A Note about Generational

We passed the one year anniversary for the Generational podcast a few weeks ago.1 It’s been a tremendous year for making a podcast and I’ve been fortunate enough to talk with some of my favorite people on the Internet.

This moment right now is the best time ever to be a podcast listener. There is no shortage of great content produced by thoughtful and professional people. As a producer I’ve struggled to create the show I want to listen to, and the evolution of Generational reflects that. The show has survived several experiments, from switching the format of guest introductions to dropping app picks from the end of the show. The most significant and beneficial change was the addition of Erik Hess as a cohost. Personally, I think each of these changes improved the show.

After a year of planning topics, scheduling guests and editing shows, it’s time to step back, look at the creation and judge it for what it is. So, Generational is going on hiatus  while Erik and I retool. We have several other projects we are tending to as well and I, for one, don’t want to make an inferior version of Generational.

Generational has attracted a great audience of nerds just like me and I hope to be back with something we all deserve. You are all the best.

  1. I don’t celebrate many anniversaries. I’m not heavily into numerology. ↩︎
