Picons.me has a good collection of subtle icons. I’m using them right here in the side bar and sprinkled around on pages. The icons come in a large variety of sizes and formats. They are available for commercial use and are sold in several sets or as a $60 bundle which gets you 600 icons.
If you want a taste, they also offer a free collection.
I switched this site off of TypeKit @font-face alternatives. TypeKit increased the page load-time by a noticeable amount and since I moved to a static blog system, I’m trying my hardest to keep the site lean.
Here’s a brief tutorial on using custom fonts without JS or services like TypeKit. There is also an excellent tutorial at NiceWebType.com
@font-face fonts can be loaded by CSS declarations. There are many different fonts available around the web and there is a service to convert any font to an @font-face format.
PatternTap.com is a new site for collecting great website and app design. It is in beta now but already has a good selection to draw inspiration from.

Speaking of Icon collections that look great, SpeckyBoy has a list of 25 sets that are general use and look nice. Many are free. All are pretty.
By way of the Zengobi blog as well.
A nice collection of 700 icons that are hand drawn sketches available as vector and PNG. Kind of pricey at $39 (29 euros) but it might be worth it. I'm still debating if I really want them.
By way of the Zengobi (makers of Curio) blog.
There’s a nice round-up of wireframing and mockup webapps over at SpeckyBoy. I love OmniGraffle, but most of the time I need it on my Windows machine at work. I tried most of the apps in the list and only one was good enough for my needs. Specifically, NO FLASH REQUIRED.
Mockingbird is impressive just for how attractive it is without using any flash. I can imagine a number of use cases for an app like this.
I've been using the MidMo theme on this site for awhile. I like it because it is easy on my old eyes and very simple. There are some quirks that bother me so I am considering a new theme. There's a lot to choose from. I'm also considering some commercial options.
