I’m not sure this Asymco piece makes a point I find relevant. It sounds like there’s a lot of money going through both Hollywood and the App Store. The amount of money accessible to any new entrant is unknowable and probably pretty small on average. It sure is a lot of detailed data but comparing it to Hollywood seems as irrelevant as comparing what kind of cars bloggers and proctologists drive.
the whole team launches constant COMPLAINTS against their opponents in order to remove opposition. Here’s where the Boss is most critical. Pals are expendable, and the Provocateur can be sacrificed at need - even if he’s banned, he can start a new account and become a Pal, or borrow someone else’s disused account and return as a new Provocateur. From the beginning, a major GamerGate goal was to get rid of five specific editors - a goal which the draft decision granted them wholesale.

We drank Mastermind by Fiddlehead Brewing and Dark Penance by Founders. It was a very good day.
Sofa King. Say it quickly. Now say it quickly when you’re mad.
When used judiciously, swear words are the most effective form of emotional communication. Unfortunately, there are few artists working in profanity now. They’re mostly just link-bait bloggers.
I mostly just wanted to link to a blog about swearing.
Relay.fm has a new gaming and tech podcast named Rocket that really has my interest. Smart people talking about stuff I like. It’s an instant subscribe.
You’ll probably skip right past this link. But then you’d miss Christopher Walken reading The Raven.
I had no idea that I could create my own Google sheet functions using JavaScript. That’s just nuts.
This is so wonderful. I have little more idea about what’s going on in this version than in the original. I still love them both. There’s a link to the english dubbed version but I really don’t want to watch it.
By way of @CesarQuintero
These two posts are such a nice discussion of failure. It’s amazing that we are able to even keep ourselves alive.

Three take home points for my everyday work:
It’s easy to annoy an engineer. Sociologists are our best defense against engineers. I don’t use the expression “woodshedding” enough.
Do you collect a lot of digital debris? Do you like terrific beer? Then the latest episode of Nerds on Draft might be perfect for you.
Jeff and I talked about how we store and cull our ones and zeros while drinking one of the best Saisons on the market.
